5 Students are chosen to participate in a year long after school program. The band rehearses once a week playing rock/popular music and accessing what you can call the main rock & roll instruments.

Each band from 5th grade through middle school, has their own private band coach. Adhering to the principles of Aloha Angels' After School mentoring clubs, the child gets one on one guidance from a professional musician who is versatile on all the instruments used in the band.

Battle of the Bands
In the spirit of joyous competition, the bands participate in an island wide Battle-of-the-Bands concert. This year's concert will be held in May of 2019 at the conclusion of the Kauai School Year.

Bandwagon Music Centers are our partners in Adopt-a-Band. Bandwagon provides studios full of equipment where kids can record and learn to play guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, piano, violin and much more in a fun, social environment.
Kids explore and learn at their own pace from experienced and talented staff members
Kids ages 8-17 can join as members allowing them ample time and space to meet other musical kids, form bands, and jam with each other.

In addition to having their own private band coach, each participant in the Adopt-a-Band After School Club receives a premium semester-long scholarship to Bandwagon Music Centers (current locations in Kilauea and Lihue).
